FUTURE POSITIVE CREATORS FUND

In 2023, Smiley launched the groundbreaking Smiley Future Positive Creators Fund, a global initiative supporting and mentoring innovative designers during major fashion weeks as they pursue sustainable practices.

Born from Smiley’s Future Positive program—its sustainability initiative aligned with the United Nations’ SDG Goal 12: Responsible Consumption & Production—the fund helps emerging creators transition to ethical, responsible, and circular design, sourcing, and manufacturing.

Smiley championed pioneering designers with a £500k fund, providing financial support and mentorship across manufacturing, sourcing, marketing, digital, social, and retail. The fund is distributed among selected designers to support their business operations and sustainability efforts.

Each season, participating designers showcase their Smiley Future Positive collections at major international fashion weeks, engaging with global press and media to amplify the movement’s message. These designers collaborate with Smiley on exclusive capsule collections of clothing and accessories that are 100% sustainable and/or circular, integrating their unique interpretation of the iconic Smiley symbol.
